I fell in love with squash when I was watching my father play from my maxi-cosi, right behind the glass of the squash court. I must have been around a year old. Since then, I have developed a vocation to become the highest ranked Dutch squash player. My journey as a squash player is marked by countless victories and setbacks. Throughout the years I have learned that every point is worth fighting for and that nothing is impossible for those who are willing. I also value true sportsmanship. You are only really a champion if you value fair play and refrain from unnecessary blocks, double bounces and endles discussions with the referee. Lastly, I believe that it is important to share my knowledge and experiences, which I am so fortunate to receive. I am involved in the development of young squash players and this idea is also reflected in my study of Education at the The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
